Fairhaven High School Class of 1976

Random photos of our past.

Finding an envelope with B&W negatives on an excursion to dear old Mom's house in Fairhaven, recently acquired these photos of FHS garage band Steel Image taken by the band and Huttleson year book photographer Mike Hartigan. Mike was the only official photographer from inception in 1971 to the bands demise in 1975. Ken Hakanson had all ready left the band when these were taken. Though the band officially broke up in 1975, original members continued to perform in area with other bands.

How it all got started, jamming in the basement sometime in 1970, Robert Hodges doing what he did best and the original band had Classmate Ray Galary on drums and Jimmie Farney playing guitar (1970), Ray and Jim dropped out, Robbie Hodges replaced Ray and Ken was with the group from day one, Ken played some bass and did our light shows, sound checks and lugged equipment, photo taken April 1971 at the San Antonio Club steps.
