Claire Anne (Perreault) Weeks, 79, of Wilson Street, South Dartmouth, MA died peacefully surrounded by her beloved family Thursday, April 14, 2022. Born January 22, 1943 in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. Perreault and Barbara V. (Reca) Perreault of Acushnet, MA. Her love of animals and nature began on their family farm. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the New Bedford Institute of Technology in Business Administration. Mrs. Weeks was a beloved Second-Grade teacher at the Oxford School in Fairhaven for almost a decade. In 1966, Claire married Robert Loring Weeks of S. Dartmouth, MA, and they purchased their lifelong family home on Wilson Street in the Village. Her love of gardening, homemaking, and birdwatching was cultivated over the past 50 years at this home. She and Bob were members of the New Bedford Yacht Club and enjoyed cruising local waters. She loved spending time with her family at Barney’s Joy beach, exploring their family vacation spot in Stuart, Florida, decorating her home, and celebrating holidays surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by two sons: Robert Weeks (and wife Nina) of South Dartmouth, MA and Christopher Weeks (and wife Kathryn) of Brookline, MA; six grandchildren: Robbie, Rowan, Kathryn, Liam, Charlotte, and Jack; and two siblings Suzanne Sylvia of North Dartmouth and Leonard Perrault of Acushnet. Her Funeral will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 9 A.M. from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 795 Dartmouth Street, Dartmouth.
